ON AIR - Nike Air Max 1 'Tokyo Maze' Sneaker Unboxing

Mr B landed one of the Nike 'On Air' collection and unboxes the Nike Air Max 1 'Tokyo Maze' by Yuta Takuman .

It's been a while since we unboxed a pair of Nike Air Max 1 here on Pint of Stuff and what a pair this is! If you didn't know last year, Nike invited locals in New York City, London, Paris, Seoul, Shanghai, and Tokyo to design their own Nike Air Max inspired by the cities and communities in which they lived. Nike held a series of “On Air” workshops and 18 finalists were selected based on the creative and unique designs on various iterations of the Air Max sneaker. The sneaker public then voted on six winners, one per city, which included Yuta Takuman from Tokyo.

Takuman’s Nike Air Max 1 dubbed, “Tokyo Maze,” pays homage to the crazy and colorful tube lines that zoom around beneath the bustling city of Tokyo. While the design may, on first look appear to be printed, its actually embossed leather representing the city’s concrete surface, while the red bubble is a nod to the iconic Tokyo Tower, so many nice finishing touches to this pair of sneakers.

These really are a special Air Max 1, and in my opinion the strongest design in this "On Air" collection.

Thanks for watching, cinematic on-foot coming soon.
