The Stuff of Dunk Sweatshirt
Finally, we are putting together another design for a sweatshirt crew, as always inspired by the passion that Mr B and SJ have for sneakers … but this time focussed on the most overlooked aspect of a sneaker.
The design is inspired by the part of the sneaker that helped sneakers evolve and the element that takes us all around the world and back. If we are honest, it’s the oldest part of a shoe … the part when a human wrapped something around his foot to protect his ‘Foot’ more - the sole.
The sole of a sneaker is a much a part of the identity of the sneaker as the upper or indeed the whole silhouette and so Mr B has taken the sole of his favorite shoes as inspiration for this design. Taking a Nike SB Dunk sole from his own collection and putting that front and center as the lead in a bold new design.
Mr B put a repeating pattern of that stylized dunk sole on sold red background allows the design to really pop as stickers or apparel and if you watch the unbagging from our printers below, hopefully, you can see just how it pops on the grey sweatshirt.
Now for the elephant in the room - CV19 … which means that at the moment - printing and dispatch are taking really long time, close to 4 weeks which is too long for us to put these or other products live.
The company we work with dispatches out of Latvia and California and like many companies are having to find new ways to work.
Once they have a more refined system in place we’ll put these and other designs on the website.
But until then take a look at the unboxing as we take delivery of the first sample.
